Zebra IBomma Review
Zebra revolves around a gripping theme and succeeds in delivering some engaging moments, especially through the character of Surya, played by Satyadev. The opening scenes, where Surya faces the challenge of arranging ₹5 crores in just four days, are well-executed and packed with unexpected drama. Satyadev delivers a strong performance, blending humor and intensity with ease, while Daali Dhananjaya’s screen presence adds to the movie’s appeal. Their intertwined character arcs are among the highlights, complemented by Priya Bhavani Shankar’s solid portrayal of her role.
The film benefits from the lighthearted moments by comedian Satya, whose dialogues and timing keep the audience entertained. Senior actor Sathyaraj is splendid as Baba, adding gravitas to the film. The supporting cast, including Amrutha Iyengar, contributes effectively to the storyline. While the movie manages to blend drama and fun in several sequences, it stumbles in places due to its slow pace and a few illogical developments in the narrative.
Director Eashvar Karthic shines in elevating the main theme but falters in certain aspects of the screenplay. Key scenes involving the villain and heroine lack the strength to make a lasting impact. While the concept of a bank employee navigating a ₹5 crore crisis has immense potential, the emotional depth and psychological transformation in these moments could have been explored more effectively.
On the technical front, the cinematography by Satya Ponmar stands out, capturing the drama and tension well. However, the music and background score by Ravi Basrur falls short, failing to elevate key sequences. Despite its flaws, Zebra delivers a mix of crime and suspense that holds the audience’s attention in parts, making it an engaging but uneven watch.
